listen_session_limit
HTTP 409 · code: "listen_session_limit" · type: https://docs.formfeed.dev/errors/listen-session-limit
A new formfeed listen session was refused, because three sessions are already running in the workspace. The limit counts the sessions of all keys and members of the workspace together.
Example
{
"type": "https://docs.formfeed.dev/errors/listen-session-limit",
"title": "Too many listen sessions",
"status": 409,
"detail": "Three listen sessions are already running in this workspace; stop one first",
"code": "listen_session_limit",
"request_id": "req_4b7c1e9a2f3d4c5b8a6e7f9012"
}
Common causes
- Three colleagues, or three machines with different keys, are listening in the same workspace.
POST /webhooks/listencalled by a script with different keys that never ends its sessions.
Your own earlier session does not count: a new session of the same key or signed-in member ends the previous one.
How to fix it
- Stop a session you no longer need with Ctrl+C.
- Owners, admins and the member who started a session can end it on the Webhooks page of the app, or with
DELETE /webhooks/listen/{id}. - See Develop webhooks locally.
Retry?
Once a session has ended, the same request succeeds. If you call POST /webhooks/listen yourself with an Idempotency-Key, use a new one: a 4xx answer is stored under its key for 24 hours.
