LibreOffice, which converts office documents to PDF, failed on this document. Formfeed already tried a second time where the 60 seconds of the conversion left room for it. reason is the first line of what the converter said. It happens on /pdf/convert and when a Word or PowerPoint template is rendered to PDF. Nothing was charged.

Common causes​

  • A document that Word or Excel can repair when opening it, but that is damaged underneath.
  • Content LibreOffice does not support, such as some embedded objects from other applications.

A document LibreOffice refuses to read at all answers source_invalid, one with a password source_encrypted, and a conversion that runs out of time render_timeout.

How to fix it​

  • Open the document in its application and save it again; Word and Excel repair many problems silently.
  • Remove embedded objects (OLE objects, ActiveX controls) and convert again.
  • If the document opens in LibreOffice on your computer and still fails here, contact support with the request_id.

Retry?​

No. The conversion was already retried once; change the document first, then send the request again with a new Idempotency-Key or without one: a 4xx answer is stored under its key for 24 hours, so the old key returns this problem again. See retrying.
